It's recommended that you don't remove the whole piece of plastic at once. Rather, slowly peel the plastic film as you work. If you take a rest from your project, re-cover your work-in-progress with all the plastic film to prevent your job from collecting dust or tear out and losing its stickiness. It is easiest to start at the bottom of the plan and work your way up. Your kit has a little tray to hold the diamonds since you work. This works great when you're working with one colour at a time, and it can be suggested. If you would rather work row by row, switching colors as you work down your graph, use little bowls or crafting bathtubs to keep the colors split as you operate. Ensure that you label each bathtub with the colour it contains. When putting the diamonds at the tray or bowl, take some time to position the diamonds together with the flat side down. The diamonds will need to be in this position to use the applicator tool. To prevent your tools out of drying out, wrap your applicator tool with plastic and firmly shut your wax bathtub between uses. Getting Started Dip the tip of the applicator tool to the wax. The wax will let you pick up diamonds. Look over your chart and determine which colour diamond to use. Press the tip of the applicator tool to the rounded side of this diamond. Pull back the plastic film to uncover the region that you're working on and carefully press the diamond onto the symbol. Repeat Steps 1--3 until your layout is complete. After positioning the last diamond, place the protective film over the top of the design. Using a rolling pin, gently roll over the layout to secure the diamonds on the surface.
