When it comes to the world's favourite beverage, tea wins hands down. The tea we drink - be it black, white or premium green is derived from one common source - Camellia Sinensis. This shrub is native to the mountainous regions of China and North Eastern India, and though legends abound regarding the origin of all we know is that drinking first started in China and was primarily used for medicinal purpose.
Centuries after tea was discovered by Europeans while trading with China and was introduced worldwide, the popularity of the drink continues unabated. However, the preferences of tea lovers have undergone a change. They now like to experiment with new exciting flavours. So, besides the regular Assam leaves and Masala powder they are also buying flavoured black, blooming flower and green online.
