Christine Pham-Cutaran's baby son Drew developed a rash only fourteen days after he had been born. No biggie, she believed. "We're convinced it was infant a response to nursing or hormones," she explained.
But soon prior to his 2-month checkup, Drew rubbed his lips raw into his sleep. Pham-Cutaran saw blood. That is when she understood infant acne was not more serious than his rash, and she had been perfect. At 6 weeks, infant Drew was diagnosed with atopic dermatitis (AD). To know about eczema click here. Pham-Cuteran along with her husband Joseph were up nightly, holding their infant's arms so he would not scratch. After their physician's advice, they implemented an anti-fungal cream to his oozy, reddish lips, but"his psoriasis simply got worse," she explained. Dr. Robert Sidbury, a pediatric dermatologist at Seattle Children's Hospital, understands the Cuterans' battle all too well. According to current research, he endorses ancient moisturizing of the skin of babies born to families that are eczema-prone. Eczema runs in the household of Joseph Cuteran, therefore his son matches that profile. An ounce of prevention Sidbury mentioned a 2014 study printed in the Journal of Clinical correlation which researched the benefits of moisturizing skin of high risk babies as early as two weeks after arrival. Initial author Dr. Eric Simpson, a professor of dermatology at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, discovered that daily moisturizing with a oil - or long-term emollient reduced AD risk by 50 percent from the time the infants reached 6 weeks old. "That is a substantial finding," explained Sidbury. "The only real caveat is the fact that it is still early in the study procedure. We are not certain if ancient moisturizing will avert AD from developing in the future, and we do not know if it is going to stop comorbidities like allergies and asthma." Nevertheless, he said, parents have every reason to adopt this possibly preventive plan --one that is also reassuring for baby and parent alike. Visit: https://exzmaskincare.com/products/gel-10ml
