Diamond painting is a simple and fun activity for crafters young and old. Based on the same concept as mosaics and paint-by-numbers, diamond painting utilizes tiny"gemstone"-like facets to make colorful designs and layouts for finished designs that glow. Implementing the diamonds is a simple three-step procedure that's meditative and relaxing, providing hours of enjoyment
as you re-create your own design. Diamond painting kits can be found in a variety sizes and styles from simple to elaborate so crafters of all skill levels can get a project to relish. What's Included? Though 3d diamond painting kits vary depending upon the company, they all include the Exact Same basic substances: Fabric printed with design chart Colorful diamonds Diamond applicator instrument Tub of wax Tips and Tricks Review your chart and legend carefully before you start. This can allow you to quickly identify the correct color as you work. Your fabric design graph ought to be coated with a protective plastic film. When you peel this plastic film, the chart area will be sticky. It is recommended that you don't eliminate the entire piece of plastic simultaneously. Rather, slowly peel the plastic film as you operate. If you take a break from your project, re-cover your own work-in-progress with all the plastic film to stop your job from gathering dust or tear out and losing its stickiness. It's easiest to start at the base of the design and work your way up. Your kit comes with a small tray to hold the diamonds since you work. This works great once you're working with one colour at a time, which is suggested. If you prefer to work row by row, shifting colors as you work off your chart, use little bowls or crafting tubs to maintain the colors split as you operate. Make sure that you label each bathtub with the colour it comprises. When putting the diamonds at the tray or bowl, take some opportunity to place the diamonds with the flat side down. The diamonds will need to be in this position to use the applicator tool. Getting Started Dip the tip of the applicator tool to the wax. The wax will enable you to pick up the diamonds. Look at your chart and determine which colour diamond to use. Press the tip of the applicator instrument to the rounded side of the diamond. Pull back the plastic film to uncover the area that you're working on and carefully press the bead on the symbol. Repeat Steps 1--3 until your design is complete. After positioning the previous diamond, lay the protective film over the surface of the design. Using a rolling pin, gently roll the layout to secure the diamonds on the surface.
